Born Patrick O'Reilly in Dagenham, East London, England, in 1988, Singer Tempa was introduced to reggae and sound system culture in his early teens when he attended an outdoors summertime session played by Lee Lionheart Rason (Lionheart Sound System). He eventually became mic man for Lionheart (still is), appearing in countless sessions all over the UK.
In 2011 he met Rod Chaplin (Apocalypse Dub Faction) and together they recorded Singer Tempa’s first song ‘Make Up Your Mind’. The first release arrived two years later when ‘War Is Not A Game’ was released as a digital download by MessenJah Music. Dubkey put out Singer Tempa’s debut album in May 2014.
Singer Tempa learned his trade in the reggae dance halls and you can catch him live on the mic whenever Lionheart or MessenJah is in town! Uplifting vibes are guaranteed!
