Born Lars Brachmann in a suburb of Cologne, Germany, in 1979, Don Goliath started getting into roots music when he was 15. He joined local band Road To Zion on keyboards, and as Sir Larsie I, he released many roots tunes on various record labels.
In 2007 the first Don Goliath releases appeared. He was now doing dubstep music and dubstep-influenced reggae productions which the don describes as “rootsstep”. He has released over 20 volumes of his ‘Rootsstep To The World’ series of albums, with legendary Jamaican toasters like U-Roy, Prince Jazzbo, Nigger Kojak, Lone Ranger, Trinity, and Dillinger guesting on some of the tracks.
Dubkey released the ‘Calling On Jah’ album in July 2014.
